Qualifications and Skills

In CareVision, qualifications and skills are used to determine whether they are a requirement for services, clients or the organization. An organization can have multiple qualifications and skills. Each qualifications is able to have many skills associated with it.

Purpose

For the quality and intuitiveness of the system, Qualifications and Skills module helps the user so that they are able to allocate staff to a service/booking and be sure that the staff has the proper qualifications and skills to do their tasks and work properly without any issues. This also allows the client organization to be cost effective to delivering the services they offer.

Application

For basic application of the module, here are the intended usage of the qualifications and skills module:
  1. Qualifications and skills are information added to a staff profile. This is used to determine whether a staff is allowed to be assigned to bookings.
  2. Skills can be set to an organization wide requirement. This makes it so that all staff has to have that certain skill to be able to be assigned to a booking.
  3. Skills can also be assigned to to specific clients, this in turn makes it a requirement for a staff to have that certain skill to be allowed to a booking for that client.
  4. Skills are also allowed to be specified to services. Again, this makes the skill a requirement for a staff to be allowed assignment to a booking.
  5. Qualifications can have multiple skills associated with it. They are then used to specify a qualification when creating services.

Setting up Skills

  1. Under "Settings" module on the navigation menu, is where we can access the skills setup page.

  2. On the setup page users can add/edit skills, to add user can click on the "Create new skill" button.
    1. This opens up a modal form.
    2. Name field is the name the of the skill user is creating. This field is a required field.
    3. Description field is a short description of the skill.
    4. Is Required checkbox is used to determine whether the skill is a organization wide requirement.
  3. On the setup page, user is able to click on the name of an existing skill to open the same form and edit the information of the skill. Also, a list of staff having the skill will be shown.

Setting up Qualifications

  1. Under "Settings" module on the navigation menu, is where we can access the qualifications setup page.
  2. On the setup page users can add/edit skills, to add user can click on the "Create new qualification" button.
    1. This opens up a modal form.
    2. Name field is the name the of the qualification user is creating. This field is a required field.
    3. Description field is a short description of the qualification.
    4. Skills field is the skills selection that will under that qualification that being created.
    5. Outranks field is used to select other qualifications that is going to be outranked by the one being created.
    6. Require approval field is used to mark whether the qualification needs an approval when they are added to a staffs profile.
    7. Require Certification field is used to mark whether the qualification needs to have an appropriate certification.
    8. Other checkboxes field, they are used to determine whether the qualification needs to have more information attached to them.
  3. On the setup page, user is able to click on the name of an existing qualification to open the same form and edit the information. Also, a list of staff having the qualification will be shown.
