A required skill represents a capability or attribute that staff must possess in order to provide services to the client. These skills may relate to professional competencies, communication abilities, or personal preferences required to support the client effectively.
Required skills defined at the client level apply across all services delivered to that client, even if the organisation or service itself has its own required skills.

Open the Client Profile.
Select Required Skills.
From this section, you can:
Add new skills that staff must have before providing services
Ensure staff assigned to services meet the client’s skill requirements
Examples of client required skills include:
- Sign language communication
- Ability to speak a specific language
- Cultural or gender‑specific support preferences
