Key Areas with Price Changes

  • Support coordination and recovery coaching

  • Therapy support services

  • Plan management

CareVision will update NDIS billing categories in your organisation using the NDIS Support ID in the Billing Category's REF4. The old pricing will be archived, and the new pricing will be set as active from 1 July 2025.

1. Support Coordination and Recovery Coaching Price Changes

The Disability Support Worker (DSW) Cost Model Supports have been updated. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) uses this model to set price limits for services delivered by DSWs, considering wages, leave entitlements, and operational and corporate overheads.

  • Most Core Supports (Standard & High Intensity), Support Coordination Level 1, and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching will see a price increase of approximately 3.95%.

  • Level 1: Support Connection and Psychosocial Recovery Coaches will have prices indexed in line with DSW rates, following the updated Cost Model.

2. Therapy Support Price Changes

Several important updates have been introduced for therapy supports:

  • State-based pricing has been removed. Physiotherapy and psychology services now have a national flat rate, ensuring consistent pricing across Australia.

  • Psychology services have increased by $10 to a new national rate of $232.99 per hour.

  • Physiotherapy services have decreased by $10 to a new national rate of $183.99 per hour, which may lower funding for providers in some areas.

  • Dietetics and podiatry services have each been reduced by $5 per hour, now set at $188.99 per hour nationally.

  • Therapy services must now be billed in 10-minute increments, allowing for more flexible session lengths and better alignment of claimed time with actual service delivered.

3. Travel Claim Changes for Therapy Supports

  • Travel reimbursement for therapy support is now capped: Providers can claim for travel time up to 50% of the applicable therapy rate, calculated based on the 10-minute price limit pro-rata. This introduces stricter rules and may reduce travel-related costs.

4. Plan Management Price Changes

  • Establishment Fee Removed: The one-time setup fee for plan management has been removed, reducing initial funding for new plan management arrangements.

  • Remote Loadings Removed: Additional charges for providing plan management services in remote and very remote areas will no longer apply, which may affect service availability in those locations.

Next Steps

  • Review your service agreements to ensure they match the new price limits, billing rules, and travel rates.

  • Discuss these updates with participants and coordinators so everyone understands any changes to services.

  • Check your plan management and support coordination agreements, as set-up fees and regional loadings for plan management have been removed.
