How to Create a News Article (with related Services, Form Formats, and Attachments)

Why would you create news articles?

An organization can add articles or blog content, updates to policies and procedures and more on their system, which can then be accessed by staff or residents in the mobile app. Think of this as your content management system for your company, or we also like to think of it as your news board. For example - you post an article about social activities for next month, so you could put an expressions of interest form with the article. Residents or staff can click the article and complete the form, and you will have info about who wants to come, meal requirements etc.

Being able to do this is very beneficial, particularly for companies who need to update their company policies and procedure. For example, they may attach a company acknowledgement form T+C’s form.

Components of a news article

A news article usually consists the following components:
  1. Title - quick introduction of what the news article is about
  2. Subheading - helps end users better understand the article
  3. Details (main text & images)
    1. Images can be added, but only via hyperlinks. You can also play with the tools to make font bold, make a headline, add bullet points, and you can see the expected news display by using the Preview.
  4. Tags - help end users to better grasp the main focus of the news article
  5. Target audience - filter people who can view the articles
  6. Category - used as a filter on the Management Portal to only show articles in one group at a time
  7. Target list - further filter who can view the articles
  8. Related services - related services
  9. Form formats - related form formats
  10. Attachments
    1. Attachments can be images and even PDFs.

6. You can further use the editing tool bar to add a headline, make font bold, add a strike-through, add bullet points, add a picture, and so on. Clicking on the bottom-right edge and dragging it will allow you to increase or reduce the size of the text box.

If you would like to add pictures in the middle of the article, please click on the image icon and paste the image hyperlink, as the system does not support uploading of photos in the middle of an article now.

The preview of the above text is shown as below:
