FAQ: What happens if I change a funding source or care plan while the client has a Draft or Open quote?

Q: What happens if I change a funding source or care plan while the client has a Draft or Open quote?
A: If a client has a Draft or Open quote, creating, updating, or deleting a Client Funding Source, or creating or updating a Care Plan, may affect the information used in that quote.
Before the change is applied, a warning appears to tell you that a pending quote exists and will be cancelled if you continue. We recommend making the required changes directly in the pending quote instead.

Sample scenario
A client has a funding source included in an Open quote.
You delete that funding source from the client’s Funding Source area.
If the client has a Draft or Open quote, review the warning before applying the change.


Choose one of the following:

  1. Cancel: The quote retains its current status. Open the quote and make the required changes there.
  2. Remove: The Draft or Open quote automatically changes to Cancelled. It appears in the Archive section.
