Client Groups and Group Sets for CHSP Reporting

Client Groups and Group Sets for CHSP Reporting

The Data Exchange, also known as DEX, is a program provided by the government to help manage the block funding arrangements and ensure streamlined reporting about required outcomes from funding. It is used by a wide range of programs offered by the Department of Social Services, with over 75 programs, including CHSP, ER and Muster.

CareVision supports the creation of the DEX Bulk Upload File for CHSP programs. To utilise this organisations need to ensure they have configured specific Client Group Sets and Client Groups, and ensure that clients data are captured appropriately. The table below identifies the items in the DEX reports including the client group sets and client groups that need to be set up in the configurations.

Create Client Group Sets for the required Reference Data

When setting these up, after giving the set a name, add a Description of DEX Reporting, select to include it in the DEX Export, and then you will be able to map the group set to the DEX reporting field it relates to. See below as an example.

Below is a list of all the Client Group Sets you will need to set up (as at Feb 2022)

Create Client Groups for Reference Data

For each of the Client Group Sets, you should create the Reference Options as Client Groups, within the Set. You can give the client group a user friendly name, but the description must be exact copy of what DEX Requires to be reported for that Reference Data Set.
