Adding and Updating Client Group Meta Data on Client Profile

Adding and Updating Client Group Meta Data on Client Profile

Coordinators are able to add a Client to a particular Client Group. Organisations create Client Groups as a way to sort out Clients according to their care or medical needs, rates, status and other specifications.

The Client Minimum Data Set is required for various government reporting purposes, in addition your organisation wishes to capture certain metadata or reference data about clients so it can be reported on and used to drive workflow.

Some important things to remember is that there “Client Group Sets” and “Client Groups” that exist within a set. An example of a Client Group Set is Accommodation Type. Within this group set, there are various Client Group options as Boarding House, Independent Living Unit, and Own Home among others.

Clients are added to a Client Group within a Set at a certain date (from date). This is either the date that it took affect or in the case of something that is and cannot change i.e. Ethnic Origin put a date before they ever received services from you.

If a client's situation changes, you will need to update their Client Group within the appropriate Set. To do this, make sure to put an end date on the existing Client Group first, then add them to the new group with the same date as the end date on the previous group they were on.
